6 Ways I Organize My Travel Content

Travel content creation can be both exciting and challenging, but keeping it organized will help you tackle your posting goals. Let's dive into how I organize myself before posting my travel content.

iCloud and Google Photos are some of the best tools to edit, organize, and search for photos. I use Google Photos, and what I love the most are its capabilities to search by date, year, face recognition, and thematic searches. It's also a great way to organize trips in albums. At the end of every trip, I dump all my unedited photos into an album and name it with the country and year.

You can also make use of your favorites folder as a mode of content creation. For example, clear out your favorites and only favorite the pictures and videos you will use for your next post. I find this to be a great way to know exactly what I am looking for in my next post. Once you've posted, clear out the folder and search for the next batch of photos and videos for your upcoming post.

I recently learned you can make notes on your photos. I am horrible at remembering restaurant names, so this is a great opportunity to write a note on a picture to jog your memory and stay ready for my next foodie post.

Create folders or subfolders for locations by thematic organization, like Adventure Travel for hiking and biking, and Cultural Experiences for historical sites and local customs. You can also search on Google Photos for things like "beach," "hiking," or "museum," and Google Photos will find all the photos that match your search.

Create keywords on your iPhone to store your hashtags or sharing links. For example, on my phone, whenever I type "viaj," a selection of my hashtags will appear as an option, so I don't have to type them out or remember where in my notes they are.

Last but not least, always set up a specific day to devote to organizing your photos and posting your content. As a 9-5 traveler and mother, it can be hard to manage work and other personal responsibilities, but when you organize yourself and devote time to this, everything else flows beautifully.
